Through my professional expertise, I can cater for students from the age of Year 5 in Primary school up until Year 13.

With over 20 years experience, I can offer a vast array of experience combined with in depth curriculum knowledge and up to date familiarity with pedagogies, teaching theory and practise.

I have been a passionate teacher throughout my career and have always insisted on allowing each student to climb their own mountains. I can maximise the potential of each individual student, empowering them to enhance their own skills and ideally foster a love of learning beyond the exams.

Due to my wealth of experience, I can offer a bespoke curriculum for a wide ranging age group from year 5 in primary school to year 13 and even undergraduate studies.

My Services

Why my provision is named ‘Beyond’ is because I aim to inspire my students to think beyond simply making ‘expected standard’ in their respective year group age or qualification. I believe that education shouldn’t be simply reduced to a set of exams, whilst also accepting their importance in a formal education. As a teacher, I strongly believe in the holistic approach to learning; wherein the students are encouraged to develop their analytical and critical thinking skills.  I firmly believe every child matters and that every child can fly when given the right tools and self belief.

He’s grown in confidence and his teacher said he finally puts his hand up in class. He now prepares for his zoom session the evening before and I’ve noticed even the words he uses on a daily basis have benefitted. Sadly my son does not enjoy reading however Mr Hughes brings out a side in him to learn to love the text they work on which prompts a wonderful discussion with me after each session!!!!
