Both my boys (GCSE and Alevel) have thrived with Danny. They were lucky to have experienced his teaching at primary school and so fortunate to have been guided by him again now. His expert knowledge of texts and critical engagement due to his masters is so valuable. With a clear love of literature and textual analysis, he inspires those he works with and gets them thinking deeply.  My youngest feels that Danny “changed my approach to English and gave me the confidence to love writing”.

Danny is an excellent tutor. Our son was really worried about having tuition initially, but Danny has made it easy and built his confidence. My son says Danny makes him feel like he knows more than he thought he did.

My son is 11 years old and in Year 7. 

To help build his confidence, personally and after lockdown I was thankfully recommended to Mr Hughes. It’s been a game changer for my son!

He’s grown in confidence and his teacher said he finally puts his hand up in class. He now prepares for his zoom session the evening before and I’ve noticed even the words he uses on a daily basis have benefitted. Sadly, my son does not enjoy reading. However, Mr Hughes brings out a side in him to learn to love the text they work on, which prompts a wonderful discussion with me after every session!!
